Sign contracts online

An online contract is an agreement whereby the signatory parties undertake to comply with the terms expressly agreed in said contract, in which the presence of the parties is not necessary for signing, but rather this can be done remotely, electronically, using an electronic signature solution.

Legislation 34/2002, of July 11, on information society services and electronic commerce, establishes the legal validity of electronic contracts in Article 23.

The key to ensuring that an electronic contract is valid is usually the consent of the parties. Therefore, proving that such consent exists is essential for the legal security of all participants, and this is where electronic signature solutions come into play.

An online contract is a contract drawn up in digital format, without the need for paper. As it is digitized, for this legal act to be valid, it must be signed using recognized electronic signature software, such as Signaturit.

Electronic signatures are legal in the European Union and, therefore, in Spain. They can be used to sign any type of contract that does not establish a specific form requirement.

With Signaturit, the signer receives the signature request by email. To electronically sign the contract, they must open the email and click on the link to access the document. Once you have read the document, click on the space reserved for the signature and a pop-up window will appear where you can draw your signature with your mouse, stylus, or finger, depending on the device you are using. To sign a document with Signaturit’s advanced electronic signature, you must draw your signature in the corresponding space on the document using a mouse, stylus, or your finger, depending on the device you are using. With the new signature app, you can sign from your mobile phone by scanning the QR code found in the left column of the box. Once you have signed, click “Accept.”
